Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

They also make chip resetters for the tanks only from what I've seen, then you can put some other absorbent material in there and move on...

I usually use the gravel they sell for cat's.,
I have a chip setter but for some reason the light on it stayed red and did not turn green, when we replaced the main tank it showed as empty with is strange.
As long as it works I'm happy.
I don't know why Epson have to make our lives so difficult.

For as long as can remember, we have been taught that the money is in the consumables. Though I would have hoped that the higher end stuff was different, they especially don't seem to really care about our machines as much as the replaceable stuff that wears out. Now, when we don't even buy that stuff from them, they really don't care about us after the initial equipment sale.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Some of the chip resetters will actually work on the maintenance tank. You can also cut up a t-shirt and fold it up to fit inside the tank. Now I know we're all perfect here and never have any misprinted shirts laying around, but those tend to work well.

Try cleaning the chip with rubbing alcohol if the resetter isn't working. Sometimes fingerprint oil and dirt particles can interfere
