what inks would you use (poly/nylon/spandex materials)
« on: March 24, 2015, 03:00:47 PM »
I Have a client wanting to do heat transfered neck labels on some garments they are custom manufacturing:
90%rayon 10% spandex and another is 87%nylon 13%spandex

Low cure ink work best? Doing direct print with silicone?

my understanding is the silicone does not stick to nylon as well. you might have to test that.

when we run into stuff like that, I call One Stroke. They bailed us out of trouble with stuff like that before and I don't even bother with anything else any more. OS has inks formulated for specific blends of thous crazy fabrics!

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
