Anybody familiar with this ink?

Mimosa or someone on here had a great post sampling and comparing a DC that requires no activator.  It didn't look ready for primetime as a standalone DC ink if I recall but as a UB for plasti on top?  Sounds pretty great.  Too bad the pricing on that link makes running our current inks far cheaper, even with waste ink everyday.  This is obviously rebranded so maybe pricing is more competitive direct.

What I really found exciting/interesting is that this is ZFS activated, they appear to have found a way to pre-activate and shelf stabilize the mix for up to 6 months.  How great would it be to have an additive to stabilize activated DC mixes?  Looks like the tech his here to do this.

I know the person who produces this.  Looked at these some time ago, and am still interested.  But, couldn't pull the trigger, as I was not convinced of the shelf life.  Where did you get six months?  All the tech sheet says is "several months" unless I missed it?

The technology to suspend the ZFS in a one-part solution is not new -- the issue has always been shelf life/stability; hence why all the major ink manufacturers use two-part systems as they sell through distribution on a global basis and need the stability.

I am rooting for this technology , as it would certainly make things easier and eliminate waste.

Is this the same stuff Spot Color supply was demoing over a year ago? I got a sample from them well over a year ago in a little quart container. It still discharges. I never got to test it in full on production, but swipe on a black shirt,,run through the dryer and it's still discharging the same.

All the samples I have seen of that product show a distinct yellow shade after discharging.  Like the base itself has a tint to it....

My bad Rob, it's several not six.  I got the Friday brain today.

I think it should be a hybridization of these two ideas- two part ink that gets activated on site, then the stabilizer is added, if desired to extend the life of inks that get reused within it's now extended pot life. 

I know we could put tech like this to serious use here it would save us quite a bit in waste ink but most of all in mixing/activating.  We have tons of repeat discharge, some of the styles will have reorders coming in while one order is on press.

We tested it for a while, from my understanding it is the stuff Spot Color had a while back and that there was a good amount of talk on the boards here.

It stays activated yes, but mixing colors or a good vibrant white we didn't see. Maybe we could of if we played with it more, but it is hard to break away from what you are use to!

Just netutalize with ammonia and shelf life increase. Also try zfs ( rongalit st) of dharma trading .

@screenprintguy and @dirk - yes and yes.  The product has gone through some iterations though certainly.  Interesting and positive to hear that it still discharges after one year.  Can you do a test print, cure, and then was test?
