Bucket Handle saver

I hate it when I grab a bucket handle and it has ink on it. I started screwing a short screw into the square part of the bucket where the bail attaches to the bucket, don't screw it into the inside. This has been a time saver for me. See pic.

rmonks, great idea. I showed it to the printer, he said if I wanted to screw all the buckets, go ahead, otherwise he'll just continue to use gloves, and his sippy cup.

No didn't spill the milk, that is an additive to reduce the viscosity.

Someone (Calibrated ??) used to recommend putting a thin wire across the top of the pail... as a wiping point. Keeps the sides cleaner.

From Calibrated back in June
Most people (myself included) have problems with keeping the ink from dripping all over the edges of the bucket. All you need are some metal BBQ skewers and then poke them through the side of the ink buckets (cut length to size) to use as a tool to scrape your ink knife instead of using the edge of the bucket. If you insert them into the bucket when the lid is ON the bucket, you will be sure to make it possible to keep the skewer when the lid is on and the buckets are stored on the shelf. A simple, yet effective trick!
