flame/fire resistant additive

I just had a customer call asking for a project that would need flame or fire resistant additives added to their inks.

I called Nazdar, they no longer make such a product. Any other recs. on someone to call?

Maybe Union ink...Flame Retardant Additive (PLFR-9111)

Yup, that Union stuff works well and is Berry Compliant. If I remember correctly it prints like butter when added to plastisol ink. My previous company had an ongoing project with it and the results were nice.

to really be in compliance you will need to have flame testing done. if the project requires the additive just adding it will not relieve you and your company of responsibility if there is a issue. just sayin

Good to hear from Rick after a long absence. Yes that is correct, especially for kids clothing. Long ago I was deposed for a lawsuit where a girl was severely burned  after reaching over a candle. In the end the candle company took the larger hit.
