But true metallics have their own problems, own problems, such as tarnishing, if not top coated. For that matter, are the ones from One Strroke even true metallics? Or are they shimmers with plastic flakes?

Oh, I can't modify with Tapatalk, but, great minds think alike and Rick also pointed out the tarnishing.

I don't think the one strokes are true metallic, even though they are great and very printable..they are VERY proud of them and priced accordingly.

They, in fact, were the first shimmers I ever used, and quickly took the place of the Union true metallics, with their weird characteristics, I had used up to then.
Alas, many years back, they bailed on me, and went from being sold by one of my local apparel distributors (California Shirt Sales), to not being available anywhere on this side of the country.

So, metallic or shimmer, I guess it comes down to what Eric wants.

Once again, waterbased or plastisol, the question is does the op want real true metallic or shimmer? The Matsui is shimmer I believe.

Perhaps though, real metal powders can be mixed with waterbase bases and binders and all that other stuff.

we are waiting to hear back from the client on what their specific needs are. We've also brought up foil, as they just hired a new graphics design person, and she is still learning alot about what we can do, and what they want to do!
