White for Poly and Tri blends
« on: July 07, 2014, 10:24:54 AM »
What's everyone using for Poly blends and tri blends in the white catagory?

We were using ICC White, and then our reps at GSG got us to try top score, which i wasn't a huge fan of.

Anything else we should try?

One Stroke Production White for us.  I've used quite a few poly whites and it's by far the best for the money.  Their Bravo Flex and Dri Fit worked great but they are a little pricey for me.  It's hard finding an ink that first of all will actually go through mesh without a fight, then second, finding one that doesn't puff up so much it screws up the print, then there is flash time, cure time, all those things are hard to find in an ink.  I'm a big fan of One Stroke right now.  They aren't the cheapest in the business but they have an ink for just about the pickiest of customers (I know because I am probably one of their pickiest) and if you don't like any of them they'll custom make you something to try out.

Wilflex Performance White for us here...  Stretchability is awesome, flashes and cures quick, and is nice and bright.

we played with some others, and nothing has kept us as consistently happy.

not cheap tho.

So, you guys who answered use actual Poly inks rather than Low Bleeds on blends? Always, or just on known trouble makers?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I always use the performance ink on the triblends due to the stretchability of it...

for us, Seems like all the women that are getting triblends are ordering a size too small, and then the chest print cracks..

other than the cracking issue tho, I've had no problems running quick white or xenon white on blends

We don't mess around with "low bleeds" on anything that is even a small bleeder since trusting a low bleed white on red, black and royal 50/50's a few years ago that cost us $2K.  Not too long ago the poly inks were so hard to work with that it seemed logical to mess with a low bleed and work your dryer temps and speed and test, test, test.  But now with the new poly's I've tried and the price it doesn't make sense for me to worry about whether or not a low bleed white is going to block dye migration.

We use a lot of HSA on tris. Very good matte down and stretch and a soft print.
