Javelin Flashback
« on: March 18, 2014, 05:00:43 PM »
Good evening guys, im adding a flashbacks to my early 90s Javelin, is there anyway to test the flashbacks without bulbs & air, I was thinking of ordering a set of bulbs then go by & test before purchasing. The flashbacks are two older style flashes with the round connecters, also what is the advantage for going with the 2008-2009 newer models. Thanks in advance.

You could test for voltage without bulbs. You are looking for 220 VAC. Also make sure the fans work properly.

The older flashbacks didn't have one of the functions. I think it was print, print, flash...?

Workhorse does have adapters for round to rectangle plugs.

the newer model does have the print - flash - print feature, something the older models did not.  This saves you TONS of time on short run jobs where you are just printing white twice, otherwise you have to set it to print flash print flash, that extra time it takes to flash the last time on a 36 piece run is maddening when you are trying to print a large number of jobs.
