Gildan swatch library for Illustrator
« on: October 15, 2013, 10:22:41 AM »
Here's a little gildan swatch library I made for illustrator. Makes it easy to choose base shirt colors for mock ups. It isn't complete but has MOST of the colors we use!

Darryl,

I'm running CS5. I would HOPE that the ASE file would be importable for previous versions of illustrator, but then again Illustrator always has been the worst for backward compatibility.

This site explains what will open that extension, and also offers a free file opener.
I don't know a damn thing about this opener, so download and use at your own risk!

This what i did for illy cs2. Unzipped saved to desktop, opened illy go to swatches and open swatch library, in the swatch list fine "other libraries" click that and search for desktop, click on ase file. Then click open and it should end up in the color swatches pull down

make sure you select "persistent" (at the bottom of the dialog that shows open library) so it opens up next time you start Illy.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
