4900 & accurip bundle

Hey anyone got the 4900 and accurip bundle from Ryonet Pro's and cons if you will.. I'm thinking hard about upgrading from my 3000 since I only have one that's half ass working now and seems David  Parker is still out a few weeks on having anything ready.

look around for a used 4800, they can be had for $500 or less and buy a RIP separately. Stick with one black ink (we do, but some will disagree with me) from AccuInk (Chromaline).
I think Film Maker is $100 less than AcuRIP, but it is a different animal and AR is much easier to set up and operate. FM will give you more options, but you might have to dive into it a little deeper and it has few extra steps before printing.

FilmMaker and a 4000 is all you neeeeeeddddd.......

We use one black (MIS) and I converted it to dye based for better opacity and less than ridiculous price.

We actually have 3 - 4000's. I love them.

I have a working all black 3000.  Used to be Pierres from blue moon.
Works great.
I just got a used 4900 and bought reusable cartridges for it.

$200 plus shipping and it's yours.  I have some extra ink cartridges too I'll throw in but they are going to expire in the fall.

Jester let me think on that, like I said, I have one 3000 still kicking but really thinking of moving up to a newer model.  The 4800 and 4900 look to really be nice...I dig the roll cutting

They are wicked sexy Darryl; we picked up a 4800 earlier in the year, and for a while, it was simply great. Then it ran into some problems, and it's been down for a while, but once I'm not here 14 hours a day, I'll get it back up and running. If you go that route, you should be very happy. I have a great set of instructions that Zoo sent me at the time, it helped a real lot...

Darryl, I have a brand new 4900 in the box and I could get Cameron to bring it to you when you get film if you are interested.  They are back ordered from Epson for 6 months from what I am told by an Epson dealer.  I am talking cheap too.  PM me if interested.

Hey Darryl,
I bought the 4900/Accurip bundle a few months back. 
It was some bucks.  I used to use an epson 1480 for films but it's limited and I went through two of them.  It was time to upgrade.
Nice be able to print big films or batch a bunch of designs together.
It's worked like a charm.
Printer is a beast though, which you probably know.
Hope it all works out for you!

Just a note:

I used Epson's "matte" black ink for films instead of the stock "photo" black. That's the ink for printing black and white photos on matte or low-gloss paper. For films it was very dense and held crazy sharp detail, even at the lighter settings in Accurip. You can find them online "expired" for next to nothing.
