Greetings and hallelujah!
« on: April 25, 2011, 10:55:10 AM »
I've been a regular over at "the other place" for sometime, and as of late wasting too much time at "the other, other place".  Would like to get back to talking serious screen printing.

I keep my profile empty in case any of you want to know, I like to keep myself and my company private.

I've been in screen printing professionally for 16 years, but grew up around the shop as a kid.  I bought out my father 10 years ago and am actually his retirement plan.  My first years here I learned the ropes from my dad, mostly sales and business, over the last 10 years I've taken a much more hands on approach to production.

We operate 2 MHM E-types, and 2 6 Head tajimas.  We are a retail business with no to the trade contract printing.  I am involved is just about every aspect of the business from sales to production.  My favorite part about this business is prepress and production on the screen printing side.  Our latest endeavor is waterbase and discharge printing.  We also do a good amount of simulated process printing.

Looking foward to real conversation and positive contribution to this forum.

Glad to be here and hallelujah!

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

I don't know, I think at first I thought the whole idea was a joke on a certain somebody, but then saw a lot of good back and forth conversation, so here I am.  Hoping this forum can be more about us regular guys and our regular stuff and less about industry politics.

I'm thinking our motto is slowly coming together. . .

"Play Nice" sounds like it would be a good fit.

'think Andy started that one!

howdy and welcome

It was never a joke. We were aware that the initial name would be perceived by many as a little silly, but needed to make a point immediately, that there is a screen printing life without a certain disruptive showman and his business interests. Google hits are one thing, honesty and character something else.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

dooh, I knew it was a joke, I'm bad at getting jokes.

I'd have to say a 60/90/80, too soft somedays and too much of a hardass others.

This forum is really starting to compile some of the best this industry has to offer.  Squeegee has been one of those members who I look forward to reading.

Hello & welcome from someone else that just found this shaded place in a hot dry land.
Grant me the ability to change the things I can, the strength to accept the things I cannot and the wisdom to recognize the difference.
