The Totes people used to do a sock program every Christmas. Used special closed cell sock puff inks that were durable enough to be used as "Pads" for the soles. Snowflake patterns etc. Had special boards made to print 4 up. It was in the hundreds of thousands. If they still do it I'll wager it's offshore these days.
