wiring diagram for an atlas 5way
« on: February 11, 2013, 04:02:28 PM »
I bought one used a while ago. The timer never worked correctly. I replaced the timer with a brand new one. That is doing the same thing. I am guessing that there is some wire in the wrong spot somewhere. If anyone has the diagram I would greatly appreciate a copy.
Thanks.
Matt

I hate to be a pain but can you get a picture of where the hot wires go after the timer? I sent the new timer back to the factory and they load tested it. They say it is fine. I think my problem may be further down the line.
Thanks again.

Matt, your jumper wire is in a different location then Daryl's. Your relay is sending pwr from term 8 to 6 (top wire on right side) which should be a normally closed circuit. Daryl's is wired from 1 to 3 (top wire on left). In other words Daryl's pwr path is to the wire on term 3 and yours is the wire on 6, could be you are powering the wrong wire. It might be as simple as moving the hot leg from 8 over to term 2 and placing a jumper between 2 and 1.  From what I can see the timer is powering the relay on the top, other wires going to the switches which also g to the relay on top. The powered wire on Daryl's is going to the switch not the relay from what I can tell from the pictures.
