Need suggestions printing on pockets
« on: October 19, 2012, 09:44:31 PM »
I need to print a 1-color design on pockets.
Design is a dark color on light garments, so no pfp thankfully.
I have a mr diamondback. I have 4" wide sleeve pallets. The design is 3.5".
Not sure if I should slide the pocket part on to the edge of the sleeve or to put the shirt on to the pallet like you would printing a normal front print, thus having the pocket on top of the pallet. I'm just a bit scared that the pocket will move a little and mess up the design if I do it the regular way of loading a shirt.

How do you guys do it on an auto?
Thanks a bunch.

Put pocket on sleeve pallet - don't forget to burn artwork upside down on screen from what you'd normally do (since you'll be loading pockets on in the opposite direction of the norm) and burned in center of screen.

We have some pocket pallets. Almost identically to sleeve pallets, a bit less wide and the top end follows the shape of a pocket, kind of. Don`t worry about the shirts sliding of the pallet, just give it a good layer of adhesive.

We took a set of sleeve pallets to a machine shop and cut one end down for pockets. They now serve a dual purpose.

I'll have to agree with everyone use your sleeve pallet, we bought some pocket pallets for our manual, best investment we,ve made for that machine, wish we had some for our auto.  I tried using the laser to line up the pockets on the auto they line pretty good just a pain to get a good print.

We have pocket pallets for your machine that can be used for pockets as well as long and short sleeves. These are all solid aluminum and can be shipped immediately. The overall size of the pallet is 4" x 22". The front of the pallet is machined to the shape of a pocket and is 3.75" wide. You put the pallet inside the pocket and let the rest of the shirt hang down.

Please call us at 800-228-4668 or see our website www.actionengineering.com for more information. $145 each.
