Perforated for basica CAD cutting.

I got a customer that is interested in some CAD cut perforated decals. Not printed perf stuff.
I was looking at my 2011 FDC catalog and they have some stuff 1200 (1250 punched) "window film".
I can't find it for sale at my usual places.
Anyone knows where to get it or something as good or better. "Permanent" would be preferred over removable but either might work.

how are you going to cut a design out of window perf? it's made up of tiny holes, about 1/64th of an inch roughly. not really made for die cutting. . .

Wasn't sure about that... was hoping it would just work.
A GX-24 or Graphtec can't cut it? What about cutting ovalish shapes out of it? If we were to make some "decals" out of it? That's my other thoughts on this idea.

the problem isn't really cutting through the material, there isn't enough material there to keep the designs integrity. you may be farther ahead having something printed and then a shape die cut around it, like an oval or square etc.

I thought about that. I was thinking it would have to be enough "negative space" to translate and I didn't know if his idea/space would work.
Only one way to really find out (ok, not really but it's sure fire way).
Thanks for the heads up.
I'm gonna push for the printed perf, I'll have to get someone to do that if we go that route though and I'm not sure if we will have time to get that done at that point.
