Steven Jackson, sales and education representative for Imprintables Warehouse, recently started a weekly video series entitled “Training Time Out.” It will include a wide range of topics on how to use your Roland VersaCAMM printer/cutter and software to create professional heat-applied transfers for apparel and pressure-sensitive decals for signage and hard goods.

“Twill Stitch Pro Patch Creation Setup” is a tutorial on how to use an outline created in CorelDraw and import it into Twill Stitch Pro, an appliqué software program, to create custom patches.

This video starts off in CorelDraw showing the emblem outline that has been created in the program. He demonstrates how to convert the outline into a plotter file and save it. This plotter file is then imported into Twill Stitch Pro. The predigitized embroidery intended to go on the patch is also imported and dropped in over the outline.

Jackson also demonstrates how to create the placement outline and tack-down outline. When finished the file can be saved in DST format for any make or model of embroidery machine for sewing.
