I know Brandt has gotten more out of his press as far as advertised print area is concerned. I am wondering if any Diamondback owner has had the same experience being able to get a longer print than advertised.

I bet you can, our press is rated at 20x20.  I easily print 23 inches, if you went REALLY slow you could get more.  If you did a couple of more tricks I bet you could go even more.

But the important part is they claim 20x20 and it does that in its sleep.

Inkman will tell you how other companies handle that...  LOL

I know our D-back has out performed anything M&R said it could do...the same goes for the Heatwave gas dryer as well..oh yeah and I save a ton of money on my bills by having a gas dryer....

ssshhh.. you didn't hear this from me but you can cut the rubber stop bumper down by .75-1 inches, you'll need to re-position the prox sensor though.

If you wanted to, there are a couple of other things you could even do.  But we are satisfied with 23 inches.  Never printed larger than that on it and dont intend to.

Anatol makes good presses no doubt but......whenever I need service/parts I often have to leave a message. Inevitably I am always asked to take a pic of the problem or part because they don't know what I am talking about.
This is due to their turnover in these departments.

Tony,
When did you get an Anatol? Last I saw you only had old M&R.

I have an anatol manual that I need a part for, guess what?  Not available, and no one knows when it will be.

This doesn't sound accurate. Are sure this is what happened?

Baron, you guys have a good, hard working service team but if you think that you don't have parts issues with the manuals, better think again.  Pm me if you like.

I wonder what an 8/10 Diamondback S would run. If its 23K for a 6/8 I would imagine the 8/10 to be around 30K, still not a bad price.
The 8/10 runs just under 32K.
I know, because WE'RE GOIN' AUTO!  WE'RE GOIN' AUTO!
Ordered one on Friday.
Yep!  I been doing the "Happy Dance" all weekend.
We were planning on going auto back in '09, but the "little shop fire" we had at the end of '08 kinda foobard all that.  In hindsight, it's the best thing that could have happened.  New building, new equipment, set up the way we want it, the auto & new compressor are the last 2 pieces of the puzzle.

AWESOME!!! Congratulations!

pierre
That is strange, as my Diamondback 10/8 is around $32400. You think it's worth asking them at M&R why there is a price difference of almost $500 on the same type of press?

Options all the same?  Shipping (distance) all the same?  I would not jump to conclusions too fast.

Not to mention 2 months difference in time.   Even when I buy something at Best Buy, they only honor prior purchases at sale price for 30 days.  Just sayin'

Lol, and you probably already made up that little difference in the first week on orders.

Well I doubt the shipping distance matters as crating and shipping are added later and don`t matter for the actual price of the press. There is the A package and then there is the B package. We have ordered the B package and so did Catnhat.
Anyway, it`s all good with me.

We just installed a dback XL about 3 weeks ago now. I haven't printed any prints longer then 18" or so on it yet as we fitted our other auto for a 28" stroke but I will measure tomorrow what max stroke the XL should be able to pull off. I will say M&R once again exceeded my expectations with the press but just as importantly the service. With our shop doing lots of contract printing under such crazy deadlines these days it was important that our  m&r press was built on schedule and quick as possible. Not only did m&r have a salesmen out the first day after inquiring but owner Rich H called personally to commit to building and delivering a press in 3 weeks! This was pretty awesome in itself but m&r pulled it off. Press was delivered on a Monday, tech flew in that day spent a few hours on assembly before calling it a day. Tuesday he had the press dialed by afternoon and we were running our first job on the new little guy as we call it that afternoon. A 5000 pcs order for a tiny little 4c logo going on small 6x4" bags we print on sleeves pallets. The press ran and is running like a champ with 20000 something impressions on it now there's been no issues. We will never buy from another press mnf. plain and simple. If anyone has a ? on the XL let me know.
