AUTO WARS - best practices for simple tasks - video series
« on: February 03, 2012, 05:31:27 PM »
Ok so we all love to post about our autos. I figured it was about time to have a post showing the autos in action. Remember this is all for fun and learning. No bashing other brands. We just want to see the way you do each task on your auto. This could be a lot of fun or really stupid if no one wants to participate. We will learn about the features of each press and practices other shops do on their press.

This is how I see it working, We will post a task and then everyone that wants to participate will post a video showing how that task is done on their auto. For example moving the position of all the pallets on your auto press. Do a video of you moving every pallet on your press. Showing the steps that you take. (let’s try to keep this to videos)

Now if we do post after post of each task it will be very hard to control. So each task will have its own thread. So the topic would be "AUTO WARS - changing flood bars" or "AUTO WARS - setting off contact". Then you will post a video of you doing that task on your auto.

Let me know is this a good idea or not? Who would make videos?

UPDATE

These are the AUTO WARS so far

You know, this could be the start of a reality show.  Auto Wars, followed by Storage wars....

I like the idea.  I like watching the autos run and would also like to see how to set them up.

Did we talk about riding in Long Beach.. what kind of riding, dirt or street?  As for that video, I just sold my Supermoto in a pile of parts..  blew the motor back in June or so.

check these if you like motorcycle vids.. a whole 6 years worth of my riding the San Diego back roads and some MA/CT/VT/NY roads as well

warning.... . not for the faint of heart or those scared by speed.

Dirt mostly. Desert racing and motocross. Although my bike does have a plate so I can go play like my customer. I will get arrested one of these days playing on the street though.

This is getting good. We can use more that one of each brand of press. Maybe someone knows a better way to use it.  Do you think we should make these threads polls so people can vote on the best?
