Sleeve pallet sizing?
« on: January 27, 2012, 12:53:29 PM »
Looking to see what people are using for sleeve pallets for a M&R Diamondback? I  have a couple of different pieces hanging around. The first one is 6" by 22" which seems too big for size small long sleeve tee's, better suited for pants. The other is 4" by 22" which seems about right.  Pockets fit on the 4" pallet also. Does anyone print pockets this way? What do people do with the pallet arm brackets? They stick out at an angle making it hard to put on and remove long sleeve tee's. Does anyone use 2" tape to make it easier, so it does not get hung up?

4" is perfect for sleeves on our press.  Smaller long sleeve shirts are harder to get on and off but they fit.  We also do pockets with them.  We will sometimes put some tape around the pallet camlocks because the sleeves can get caught on small and mediums, depends on how many smaller shirts are in the order.

I always tape up the brackets--but I yank too hard on the sleeves as a habit, which makes them much easier to snag even the larger sizes.  Too used to working under 'this afternoon' kind of deadlines.
I'd get 4" if I were getting more...

Anyone tried the dual sleeve style?  The shop we bought the Gauntlet from swears by them...  seems like it would be nice not having to screw around with loading over that bracket at all.
