2016 Anatol Titan S-ASE 7 head/8 station press. Thoughts?
« on: July 01, 2022, 10:54:47 AM »

Hello gang,

I am looking to get an average (used value price), from the feedback from you all on the following press.  I know that there can be many opinions and we all know the company had a bad history of poor business practices in the past. From what I’ve been hearing and seeing, is that they have improved as a company over the last 6-7 years.

If enough people reply with a value, then at least I can get an idea or a range. Right now, the current owner doesn’t have an idea of what he would be able or should sell it for. He bought it used also and was given a good deal arrangement on it. Maybe, since it would be a hard sell, that the original owner knew he needed to make a good arrangement on it with owner financing and this 2nd owner (who I know personally) as a really good guy, it offering to pay it forward also. He wants to just contract out the printing orders he gets. Thats pretty much what he does now. Send out most of his work. He’s. one man shop that does ASI sales. He thought he could run the press himself, but as we all know, you can’t be all things to all people and now he’s ready to get it out of his place.

2016 Anatol Titan S-ASE 7 head/8 station press. (2 owners) and each did not use it (a lot).  It's been kept in very good/clean shape. While the last owner is still running it occasionally, he’s only been able to get about as much as 200 an hour off of it. Keep in mind, he’s not been a printer, and not used any other presses and may not know how to get it going any faster. I’m pretty sure that it can run much faster than that like in the area of (400 an hour max) maybe in the right situation?   Like a job for black ink (left chest) on a grey shirt for example. You can run that wide open.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Well I've run an Anatol for years (7/8) question is it full air or has air plus servo, electric heads? in my opinion it's a very fine press and it works as hard as you work print as fast as you can print.  This press has as many features as newer presses have and they are standard, central off contact something that I really like, I might be the only one on here that gives Anatol a thumb up ;D but really it's been a work horse for us.  I bought my press new and the service I got from anatol was A1 even today I still get great service from them, yes I know others that did not and might tell you so, but if the price is right you will get a good press and if he's looking to part with the flash let me know ;).

Dan, it is an "entry level" press. Which always raises an eyebrow regardless of manufacturer. Mostly all air if I remember but good indexer. Cons.... back then at least, cheap air hoses which were a mother to replace. Had to replumb one back in the day using air hoses that RH provided and that took the better part of one day. Wish I could remember the name of the last contact from Anatol but he is a great guy. Gave me advice a about machines that he did not sell or support. Speaks volumes to his character.

If it comes with a quartz flash, electric heads, adult/youth/sleeve platens..... start your offer at $4-$5K.

Air plus servo electric heads.  I found out that this press is not equipped with the HEADS UP option.  All heads fixed.

Dan the one thing about this press is it has a small footprint, so a space saver for sure, entry level or not it still will get big or small jobs done.  As far as air lines yes I've had to replace mine but it took about seven years before I had problems and they can be hard to get to if your new at it, Anatol tucked them away really nice so they are not hanging everywhere, but if you can get a good deal I'd go for it and have nice backup press.
