heat resistant glue for heat press
« on: June 04, 2020, 04:22:49 PM »
2 of my hat platens (Hotronix) have the rubber releasing, very very cleanly I might add. Can anybody recommend the right glue for the repair? Thanks in advance

Steve

3M 1357.  This is also the adhesive to use when glueing on new pallet rubber.  It ain't cheap, but it works!

I have used Weldwood contact cement (from Lowe's / Home Depot) for glueing rubber onto wood pallets years ago and never had any issues even with lots of flashing.  If it were me and I didn't have any 3m 1357, I'd try the Weldwood first, and if that didn't work, go to the 3M 1357.

Hope this helps...
