Gas Dryer Flames
« on: April 15, 2020, 01:02:50 PM »
I have a National Gas Dryer and at the front of the Burner where the Pilot comes on the flames are high but as you get to the end of the burner there is not much flame coming out. Ho do you clean the burners so the flame will be consistent from end to end?

We just had to do this on our beloved Interchange Dryer (it took about 9 years before ours clogged). The 8' of heat was taking a long time to get up to temp, and hard to stay there with a full belt. Used a drill bit on a pole boring into the little orifices where the gas exits into the basket. Then very precicely jetted some compressed air to remove debris. Or National rep will tell you what you need to do.

 Fun stuff when it works.
I was so happy when it worked, I emailed back and said - Now we're cooking with GAS!

What Type Of Gas ? Natural/LP
What Is Incoming Gas Pressure
What Is The Size of your Gas supply line to your Dryer?
What Is Distance Of The Supply line to Dryer?
Are There Other Gas Appliances coming of Supply Line? Or is it direct to dryer?
If so, What are their btu requirements?
