« on: October 31, 2018, 05:56:03 PM »
Looking for a clear silver glitter to cover other ink colors and give sparkle. Have some that is old and cannot read label but can make out its Wilflex. Don't need anything that is like shimmer silver the base needs to be clear. Thanks for any help

A little confused. All glitter is in a clear base, with the particles being silver in this case.

Frog, I have shimmer silver and when you lay it down it lays down silver, the little ink I have left is used in a 40 mesh screen and I can print over white, black etc. and the color stays the same it just adds silver glitter to the color. I too thought this should be easy to order but to my suppliers, they only have a silver shimmer or some type of ink that will change the color of what its covering. I'm not sure how to explain it no other way:(

1. It sounds like what you want is glitter with a big whack of more clear put on it.
2. Glitter is essentially the same as shimmer but with much larger particles

I believe the overprint ink you are looking for is "Crystalina".  Wilflex and Union have it.

I know that Union carries it. It has a flake size a little smaller than glitter, but aren't the flakes kinda' neutral, translucent, rather than silver?
Perhaps the OP is just referring to their reflectivity and "sparkle", not truly silver.

Crystalina or Cosmic Crystals which i think are the same just different names, the cosmic I got from QCM,with that ink I could print any color then print it on top and make it glitter.
