Ross at inkjetcarts.us is awesome!

He really is dedicated to his business.  I've ALWAYS got help when I had problems, practically immediately even if it was a weekend.

check out spot color supply on the boards here.  He carries it.

I have switched to the hybrid black from here: http://store.inkjetcarts.us/screen-printing-c481.aspx

and it rocks.  it actually dries on the films and doesn't get stuck to another one over time.  It's killer stuff. The dmax is AMAZING. Actually off the chart I have...I think mine maxes out at 4 or 4.5.

What film and printer do you run?

I've been using kimoto silkjet that is crystal, but with my el cheapo ink refill kits from chain stores it doesn't really produce the opacity I need. I ordered some MIS dyebase for epson claria form inksupply.com that should be here this week. I'll post how well that goes...

Screened, I'm in Tucson. I just got some screens from AST today, I like their glue so far, and tension was good...

I used to run what I think is a variety of silkjet by Kimoto that I got from Westar solutions.  It was good stuff and what I really liked about it was that it was the exact same film every box I bought.  That's worth a little extra change to me.  But Accurip (nor fastrip when I had that) has never played well with the non-wp films.  Next chance I get I'm going to try out the hybrid ink and some non-wp films, see what I can work out.

I use Silkjet non water proof film. $89 for 100 sheets of 13 x 19. I have never had a problem with the film. I stack the film in a pile and they don't stick even after a year or more.

Really.. I use non-WP film (stuff 4 printers, have ad here in rotation) and Jetblack DYE based inks in my 1800 using Accurip on 'more ink' @ 1440x1440 with 2 drop weight. Films are super opaque and with my recent exposure test, I was holding a 50 line 5% dot on a 200 burned for 8 minutes.

I run and old 3000.  I say old because it's probably due for a rebuild.  It's been about 5 or 6 years since the last one.

It's a tank.  But, I can tell you that the hybrid screen ink doesn't play well with other inks.  I did a full flush with cleaning solution the other day and it really cleared the gunk out.  I would recommend using a cleaning cart before switching inks.

What Epson are you running again?  And how's the gain using the silkjet with the MIS?
