4880 flooding park pad.
« on: March 28, 2017, 11:52:04 AM »
Every morning I find the pad where the head parks at night full of ink.
The ink is leaking out the head.
I have to blot it up with a piece of material or the head will dirty the film.
What can be causing this?

you think it's the heads leaking when they shouldn't rather than the dump station backing up?

i don't know if this addresses your particular problem - but i found these series of videos to be the most useful for setting up/debugging/addressing issues with these printers

I'm like 99% sure your head isnt leaking.  You need to flush the capping station with cleaning fluid and check the line to the maintenance tank for clogs. What you are seeing is the normal head ink discharges building up because they have nowhere to go.

I'll try and clean it, the Epson agent told me to clean the pad with hot water.
I have a new pad, I damaged the old one trying to clean it.
