« on: March 25, 2016, 01:59:39 PM »
does anyone on here have any knowledge of an older M&R saturn? We just picked one up, and i'm trying to figure out how to adjust the offcontact , but am having a major banging my head moment on how these little pieces actually move!

Eric-

Combination of the front peel nut adjustments and loosening the two bolts at the rear of the master frame then raising or lowering the bars themselves. Depending on what that does, you might also need to adjust the bed height and reparallel . If it's a used machine hopefully the threads on the peel rope are not buggered up.

Yep, those threads looked inked up, try to clean them up with a wire wheel, or if you have a 3/8-16 die that should do the trick unless they are really messed up, then you need to replace the entire rope. That is a "fun" repair job.

Saturn = Cool, but more fun than anything to run. You'll love it.

if this is an older unit and not equipped with flat flood cylinder make sure you adjust the peel to minimum and have the carriage in front position when you adjust your off contact or you will not be flooding properly

What are you using the Saturn for? Paper prints?

Does anyone do textile with these?

we are going to use it for boxes, transfer sheets, and maybe some bandannas.
