Thanks for the input guys!!  I had to redo my post because I came across a good post by a fellow member whether to go LED or MH.  From what I read, LED is the way to go, which is quite understandable given the facts I've read.  I've narrowed down my choices to these:

Vastex LED 2331-  Considering this since it's very affordable.  Only questions is if it'll fit the Tri-lock screen frame.
Vastex LED 4731-  Only if the tri-lock frame doesn't not fit.
M&R Starlight-  Been getting pushed my the sales rep to get it for the past 2 weeks lol.

The vastex units are more affordable on my end.  If I'm not mistaken, I think there's a price difference of a little over a thousand between the 4731 and the starlight
I would not recommend buying the Vastex unit, we have one and are far from pleased with it. For some reasons it does not manage to expose the emulsion fully unless of course you give it a lot more time in which case our 3140 will beat it on certain emulsions. Especially once you increase the exposure time on the  Vastex units you will find it real hard to hold fine detail. So you either have a underexposed screen and just manage to keep your fine lines or you can opt for getting a full exposure but loose many of the finer details.  I`d say get a Starlight or a 3140 which we still use to make all our halftone screens. One last word about the Vastex LED units, we managed to getr better results now  by using Chroma Lime emulsion.

we use a starlight + DTS and diazo in our emulsion. buy the starlight and quit dicking around. MH is good too at the right price... but eliminate a variable, get the LED....it's one of of only constants you can have in this screwy industry....but that's just my opinion.
...keep doing what you're doing, you'll only get what you've got...

Go Starlight, don't look back.

The 1000 point that your using now actually doesn't sound that bad for only 20-40 screens per week. We taped our glass down on our old exposure. And only burned 2-3 screens at a time to prevent over-heating.
I spend too much money on equipment...
