Greetings TSB!
I wanted to say a quick THANKS to all the members for contributing such great detailed analysis on here. I signed up earlier this year and have made a few posts, but haven’t had the chance to formally introduce myself. I have been screen printing for about 10 years (manually) and I run a small shop up in NY. Most of the work we print is pretty standard spot color stuff, but we have been doing some more sim process and 4 color process over the past few years. About ⅓ of our work is waterbase and discharge printing, and the rest is plastisol. Most of our work is screen printing but we also have a single head embroidery machine and a heat press and vinyl cutter for sports teams names/numbers.
Currently my shop is approaching a tipping point and over the coming year we’ll be planning to scale up. Although there are still many threads I need to read through, I will try to get a few new topics started focusing on the transition and scaling of a small business.
Again, I really appreciate all of the help and knowledge I have learned here and I look forward to becoming more of a part of this great community.
Chris
