Help Needed
« on: August 01, 2015, 05:05:07 PM »
I know this is totally off base of this forum, but I need to ask for your help.

A high school classmate of mine was involved in a motorcycle wreck on "The Dragon" (this is a very curvy road between Tennessee and North Carolina) Father Day weekend.  I did not find out about this until about a month later.

I can not find this person. I have tried every way I know possible.  His name is Robert (Bob) Leatherwood, IV.  His lived in Bryson City, NC when we went to school together 40 years ago.

If anyone know this man, please ask him to call me at 423-836-1689.

Thanks for the help.

I did some searches using specifics with '+' between like this -

north+carolina+motorcycle+accident+leatherwood+bryson+city

Fouind some leatherwoods but not a Robert.  You can try some variances of that yourself and might get lucky.

Have you done the facebook thing?
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Another angle would be to track down whoever is involved in your high school reunions.

Our school was a small private military high school which is now closed.

I have not done the Facebook thing.  I will have to get my wife to help me because I do not do Facebook.

I have called the city and county police depts. and go no help.

The Tennessee Highway patrol was very rude to me.

I might try some more net searches.

Not sure what to do at this point.

I have been to two of the three site you suggested.

I will try some of the phone numbers on the site I have not been on.

Sometimes I feel like a private eye tying to find this guy.

Just a suggestion but you might try to find out what towing companies are used in that area and call them... bad motorcycle crashes usually equals tow trucks and ambulances....... There's another idea... EMS! Good Luck. It seems like there is a local hangout on that route that a lot of riders stop at and if you could find out their name they could most likely tell you about the tow services.............

EMS won't tell you anything due to HIPAA.  The tow companies may be a good start.
