Yep, a legend in my own mind.

But I'm not calling it quits just yet.

Funny thing about REM, I clearly remember the first time I heard them was, 1983, not on the radio, but just after I moved from San Francisco to suburban Walnut Creek, a record from my new public library. (Pre-Napster bootlegging)
Never heard of them, took a chance, and the rest, as they say, is history.

I had a similar experience with Dire Straits...... I remember the first time I heard "Sultans of Swing", like it happened just yesterday.
I was thinking... this guitar player is the bomb.

I never really liked REM, to strange for me and the singers voice was to odd sounding.
