Looking for a good Orange ink
« on: December 21, 2014, 06:32:28 PM »
I went to order some "dolphin" orange ink a while back and they were out of what I had been using. Damn if I can remember what brand. Anyway he said we got some Wilflex poly one dolphin orange. They sent it but I don't care for it much on darks with undebase. Not real opaque. It seems to shift a little towards Tennessee Orange. What have you all used with good results?

The orange I currently have and use is Union Mixopake mixed to standard Union orange specs. Here in Giant country, you need that damn orange! They also have a Light Orange, and Texas Orange.

When I can, and a true orange is not called for, I try to use "Burnt Orange" from IC simply because I have three cans that were given to me. ;)
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Far and away the brightest, richest orange I've used.

We have 2 great oranges.  PMS 021 and PMS 165.  Both are $43 per gallon.
