Yes they can. Which is why I said there is No need to convert to a 1bit bitmap before importing.   Works just like Illy does

That's what I thought. If they don't have a RIP, the the bitmap method works out. How about using DCS 2.0 files in Corel (color naming in the Photoshop channels, PMS numbers are fine to import, but blacks and whites need an extra character so they don't conflict with Illy's black and white in the color pallet)

Colors for channels have to be pantone specific with no changes or they will get all mucked up in the print engine.
