Freight class for hoodies
« on: July 15, 2014, 09:36:01 AM »
Anyone know what the appropriate freight class is for a shipment of hoodies? I just got a updated invoice from our freight carrier, additional $80 is being charged because they switched the freight class. I have always shipped hoodies at class 100, the carrier just switched or last shipment to class 125...

125 sounds right. Freight class is based on density

From what I have heard, the freight class is negotiable with your carrier. I might check
into switching. I don't think we have ever had a problem and we ship all kinds of things
daily. BTW, we use Old Dominion.
