Late to the party

Just thought I would introduce myself as I have been on the site for a few months now, I think. & I didn't want to just be a lurker so I just started posting but never did get around to introducing myself.
My name is Patrick, & I live in northern Colorado & work for GoWest T-shirts as the production manager. I have been printing for 15 years & like the most of you on here have had to figure out most of this printing stuff on my own, spending a lot of time with trial and error ( I call this r&d now days ) & I would never say I know it all & still learn something new all the time. I'm always late to the party & have never been much of an online guy but this site seems to have got me hooked. It sucks to see I may have missed some of the guys I might have learned a lot from not on here as much, or not at all but I like what this site offers for the newbies & in joy talking with the experienced printers on here too. I am always willing to share what I know with people & love to learn from others, I can be nerdy about printing. Hope to make some new friends.

Well, a welcome doesn't quite fit now, after as many posts as you have made, but glad you found us, and have now told the bunch about yourself.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

I think most questions you may want to ask have an answer here somewhere, and there is little problem with sharing as you've probably noticed by now. Welcome of course, late as it is. As you say, a lot of us had no place to go originally, think pre-internet, and hand to work it out and read the trades. This place can certainly save people some time if they want to make the learning curve a little less steep.
