Props to 2M
« on: March 20, 2014, 01:13:57 PM »
Just wanted to give a shout out to Maruisz at 2M.  In the middle of a 6000 piece job our press had some kind of weird computer glitch that caused machine to index very hard.  This caused shifted the pin that engages the table to index the machine enough that the machine would run rough since it was catching the edge of the forks when tabling up.  This happened yesterday around 4:30pm.

Called Maruisz and he walked us through a few possibilities until realizing we had to re home the press which requires a special dongle and software so that we could connect a laptop to the press.  Maruisz drove to UPS and overnighted his dongle to us and walked us through the software and how to home the press this morning so we are back up and running.

Talk about a freak out moment and a sigh of relief when your press manufacturer comes through for you BIG TIME!

Dongle :)

That's solid customer service right there.  The busier we get that weighs more on my mind than anything else.  If we have a press problem, will we be able to get back up the next day or even sooner if no parts were needed?  The only problem we had we were able to get back up in about 15 minutes but I know there are much bigger issues that could arise and if they can be fixed within a 24 hour period then I'd be completely satisfied.

2M is the maker of the RPM Revolution and they also made (3)???, give or take maybe 1, m u s t a n g s when R W B was smashing automatic press sales records in late 12' and early 13' with the 2M M u s t a n g.  Someone that promised service and support for both blue machines he was peddling at the time has since been too busy selling beds for great big giant people roaming the earth like dinosaurs with bad backs because no bed maker caters to the larger person apparently...where was I?  Oh yeah, 2M, it's a great machine that quite frankly lacks the large staff and overhead like you see with most equipment manufacturers which can be a good thing in some cases or a bad thing in others.  I know all of the M&R users love it when they can call and get service at all times of the day and I'm a fan of that but that also costs money and 2M and RPM take a different approach (for many different reasons, one being lack of market share) in that they have VERY low overhead and employees sitting around just to answer a phone is considered a bit of a waste.  So I guess there are good and bad with being able to buy a press that is really loaded with features for a lot less money than a competing machine but you also don't get a lot of the other things that come with buying another brand that has a large support staff on duty at any given time of day.  In this case the guys got the best of both worlds, a great machine at a great price, and support that rivals the best in the biz.  Just my opinion.

We were fortunate to get a taste of M&R caliber service and that has been our experience thus far, Maruisz even came down to setup our press so there was some serious brain-picking going on.  Maruisz answers his phone the majority of the time, but he does get very busy at times so one must be sure to time their breakdowns to fit his schedule!!!

At the price point you would be hard pressed to say that there is a better machine out there imho, of course this is if the service is there when you need...nobody wants a well priced paperweight no matter how cool the features are.
