Is there anybody we call call to report scammers

Here is an e-mail i got today.


Hello,
Do you carry Plain white tee.

Specification
Plain white t shirts
50% cotton
Sizes:XL and L
Quantity:1,200

I need 600 shirts for each size.I need the total quote for all the
1,200 shirts including the availability on them.Also what major credit
cards do you accept.How soon can you get them for me as soon as an
order is placed for them.Kindly email me your full contact details for
reference.

I know others have talked about this often and it will continue to be a problem.

I just want to report this to someone.

Got my first one just last week.  Feels like a right of passage, like I'm official now or something.

here's what they sent:

Hello Owner/General Manager,

    I'm Dawn Moore, I will like to know if you do Screen printing on TShirts? and do you accept major types of credit card ? i have a seminar coming up in the city here on the 27th of Jan by 3pm.i have some T-shirt i need you to do Screen Printing on all together are 25 dozen of T-shirts white in color and I will like to put at the front of the T-shirts (ARISE AND SHINE) you move down lower and put (ISAIAH 60:1) i need a perfect job on the T-shirts the total of the T-shirts are 420Pcs.
Sizes are:

M=74Cm 140pcs
XL=78cm 140pcs
XXL=80cm 140pcs.

I will have a private carrier have the T-shirts deliver to your shop so you can work on them...so kindly get back to me with the request information below..

Full name.....
Shop Address.....
Cell phone and Business phone number.....
Types of credit card you accept.....
Total cost of your service.....

Pretty obviously a scam with all the grammatical errors and the quantity discrepancies etc.

My embroiderer just got the exact same email. I told her it sounded bogus, but if she felt like responding to tell "Dawn" that it would have to be cash up front. I told her that she'd likely not hear back.

i almost responded to run a reverse scam on them, but it would have been more work than it was worth...

I've since just lead them on until they gave me the name and card number and then I just call the card company and report it.

Alan,

These people are across the world (likely 3rd world) in counties that have no internet laws are extradition. 

Kingscreen has the right idea.  If you want to carry it that far to have them give you the (stolen) card number and you could report it and possibly help someone out whose card is being used.
