I'm interested in buying this automatic with cash but can't find out the full price without talking to a used car salesmen type sales rep. Does anyone know the price for this press?

Used car salesman type rep, now that's awesome!!!! Someone who is able to admit how some of these dudes come off with their ridiculous shpeeals on trying to sell a piece of equipment.

I believe the new Tech Support catalog has prices listed. I don't have one nearby, but it you or someone else here does...
Also, talk to Alan Howe at Tech Support when you do call. He is a serious class act and all around good guy.
-
Yep, I don't mind saying that I find "the other guys" much more newbie-hip scenester oriented and less professional.
(Do not confuse or automatically equate professionalism with financial success)

I filled out detailed info on the hipster's page to get pricing. They sent me a canned email and no pricing, which had a "Reply
to this email for more info" link. I did, outlining exactly what we'll be looking for (2 presses, 8 and a 12, 4 flashes, pallets, etc.).
The email address bounces back. Good luck with that.
I know that Tech Support distributes them as well, but buying machinery from a company all the way
back east seems odd. Oh wait...
-
If you are referring to the company, who's site address resembles the owner's name. Did you happen to email him directly, I'm sure he would be pissed to know his sales force is slacking since he is the big pusher of the new machines. Not that the other company isn't, but for folks all they way out West, it only makes sense that they would deal with the dealer and service closest to them. I do know he is very responsive with emails directly, has been with me over water based ink products, so I'm sure if he directly knew you were looking at gear he would be all over it, if he wasn't that's not good at all. In case you don't have his direct email, I do and I can pm it to anyone who wants it. That is, if you know who I am referring too =)
-
Yep, but it's not a matter of a lazy sales force, just a non-working email address.
But that alone weirds me out a bit.

Where are you located? There is a company here in MN that can sell them. There is also a great guy in Toronto who is the main North America guy.

Alan Howe: "He is a serious class act and all around good guy"
I agree 100%

I agree about Alan Howe too... ended up buying a used press instead of a new one from him, but he still treated me great regardless.

I understand that there are some specific people who are not to be talked about because they cause trouble everywhere they go, but why do people do this for random companies?

Both eb and the OP are in California

Then completely disregard my post, unless you want to come to Minnesota for our nice fall colors:P

I think that it started with me, just sidestepping the actual company name to soften negativity and not be a major bash. I was just making a personal observation and tryan to be a little light with an otherwise fairly serious subject.

Totally agree with ya!! If someone can't get emailing right, how are they going to handle sales, delivery, install and support of a sophisticated 5-6 figure piece of equipment, but just in case, making sure a glitch in communication doesn't ruin a possibility in good business relationship. We had that with someone a couple years ago that now after we got the communication fixed is a great return contract customer.

Not to derail the thread but does anyone have a price on the 8 color S.Roque Amiga? I saw that Tech Support was carrying them also and they are considered S.Roques entry level press. Just curious on the price.

$40k. For 8 color.

Not bad. Thank you, sir.

Awesome to see so much conversation there is about S.Roque. Got to admit reading through the posts is a bit humbling :) - First, I'm going to follow up with everyone who had interest and may have not heard back, I already found a few in our system already, I want to know what's broken and why you didn't hear back from us, then fix that issue as well.
We have 30+ machines placed in the US and I'm happy to provide reference of our clients who made the jump to green with us from the buying, installation, after the sale, and total S.Roque experience.
Are we perfect, hell no we aren't, but we'll work our butts off for you, even if some of us are hipsters :) Its good to hear feedback like this, digest it, learn from it, and improve. Thanks for that everyone!
S.Roque is an AWESOME machine and it has been a awesome experience working with it so far!

Just to be fair Ryan Moor emailed me today offering to answer any questions I might have. I should also say they started me on the screen printing path with a little silver press and my first training class in Arkansas. I also think they have helped get many people started in their own business and give mega props to Ryan for his work in the industry.

In a economy where a lot of success is landing in the "hipsters" lap, don't let the peanut gallery get you off track. You are running a company many factors larger than most of the people here. Can't argue that success even with name calling ;) . Best wishes.
-
Since Ryan is here, I have one request: Fire whoever does the packing peanuts in your shipping departments. You have to be losing six figures a year on the amount of packing peanuts that are put in my boxes alone. Seriously. :P

No one ever argued Mr. Moor's success, and apparently in only a few hours, due to points brought up here, service from his company has improved.
It appears a good thing happened here.
For the record, though water long under the bridge, my displeasure with the operation stems from a somewhat disingenuous emailing some years back, that he pretty much just sloughed off.
Then again I may well have a different standard on things like this, and could well be in a small minority. Many folks accept a much more Machiavellian style in business than I do.
But, to reiterate, if this discussion could both draw Mr. Moor to our humble forum to participate in this and future discussions, and improve the customer service of his operation as well, then it's a win-win.

You aren't the only person that has called them hipsters... FYI.
I agree it's great he's shown up, I was just pointing out not to let someone calling him a hipster run him off.....

Is calling someone a hipster considered derogatory? I call people really bad things quite often and hipster doesn't seem remotely close to being a term to get anyone upset. Now if we were calling people D-bags, A-holes etc, then I think we've got issues.
-
Better than being called a Brandt I suppose.

If he is a hipster he would take it as a compliment. :D

You're not alone at all Andy. Business practices like that irk me the eff out. Call me an old stodger, maybe it's the new norm, but my skin
crawls just thinking about it. I'm happy to say that from what I can tell my email info hasn't been grifted from THIS forum yet.
