Title: Shorten Dryer Belt
Post by: printguy on October 01, 2013, 01:40:34 PM
Took a dryer out of service & replaced it - the belt is in good condition. Was thinking about getting it cut down length-wise to fit another dryer whose belt has seen better times. Anybody know somebody who could do it?

Here's some to try. They all fabricate to order, but I can't say for sure if they repair or modify other's belts.

There is a handful of places that will do that, where abouts are you located?
Here is the guy I have used for belts before, belts are great and their prices are even better!

I am not sure but Action Engineering might also be able to help you out.

Hmm, can a belt be drawn in Solid Works?

J/K Erik, great to meet you the other day!

Thanks all for the suggestions - talked to Action who we originally purchased it from and the answer was no. They get their belts from a third party who will not do it. I know Tony at CGS & will give him a shout.

Yes we can shorten belts, provided that they are in decent condition with the edging in tact. If we feel they will still track well, it can be done.
