jason, that mas my thought too. Personally, I would add another PFP just to make sure it's the look I wanted.
-
then run it through the dry and heat press the crap out of it...one down 499 to go.
-
Looks like HD or a tinted HD clear to me too.

Ive sen that effect on popular sports retail stuff like Nike, Reebok etc. Always wondered how they accomplished it, someone once told me Nike printers over seas will print a dozen layers with out batting an eye.

I thought high density too. One really needs to charge a lot for that, it's slow, tedious, and expensive. 10 or 20 times the amount of ink you usually lay down, plus making the stencils, proper seps (each subsequent layer choked). Obviously it can be done, but which of your customers will pay for it? We did some about 10 years ago, and people loved it, but no one wanted it. I think it needs the right market.

It's difficult to judge based on the small picture but if it's what I think you're talking about, made well known by the old Ecko shirts, it's Silicone Ink. See: http://dgruike.en.alibaba.com/product/723983757-215326663/textile_heat_transfer_printing_silicone_ink_for_thick_plate.html (http://dgruike.en.alibaba.com/product/723983757-215326663/textile_heat_transfer_printing_silicone_ink_for_thick_plate.html) It's used a lot in printing overseas, especially in Asia.
