Title: 40 pcs and they send me this... how many colors can I do this with (Manual)
Post by: Gilligan on February 05, 2013, 06:26:34 PM: Most of you know my screen limitations but I'm fixing that... got a lot of nice S mesh coming my way!

So the school calls and wants this on their shirt, the students designed it.

This will go on a black shirt (schools colors are black and orange).

What do you guys suggest.

Unless your school client is different than most others, either the use of transfers, dtg, or an education in practical-for-the-quantity screen printing designs is in order.

Was this directed towards me? I charge screen fees... though not as high as I probably should, I do charge them.

Post by: Frog on February 06, 2013, 12:30:28 PM: I remember past discussions on screen set up charges, with many weighing in and I mistakenly thought that you were one who threw them in. I guess that now I remember that you do charge them, just at below cost (by my figuring)

Nevertheless, six set-ups for 40 pieces requires some major PITA charges.

Post by: Gilligan on February 06, 2013, 12:35:53 PM: No sweat. I'm from the camp of "charge them setup" vs rolling them in because people often don't look at setup and only see per piece pricing. So you will have an apparent "better" pricing than you really do if you deal with those customers.

Who here things they are paying $3.49 for a gallon of gas when they are really paying $3.49 (and 9/10ths) = $3.50? Granted as far as gas prices it's all relative since EVERYONE does that, so it really doesn't matter.
