I agree I skipped the last one even though I was 20 minutes away. M&R has pulled out of that one I believe.

You are correct. we will not be doing that show. Attendance is not there. I have doubts the show will survive with the amount of people that attend.

it's not poorly attended, but it definitely is more of a regional show.

lets face it, theres nothing to do here in ATL and people want to bring there families and make a short vacation out of it.  Its in our backyard or we wouldnt go.  Thats why we will be traveling to Vegas, see you there 244.

That is sorta true... Unless you are looking for an entry level automatic, or manual in the south east... In that case the show may rock..?? We value customers in the south east and think showing off our equipment is well worth the time and money.

Of course Spot Color Supply will be rocking there, can't wait to see your booth.  Good guys too!  I was just refering to the size compared to other shows.

Last year was pretty good (by our standards)... Maybe a smaller booth would suffice..?? No need for 3 automatics in a small regional show IMHO...  ;)

Dude, have some pride in your state... We have the world of Coca Cola, the biggest aquarium in the country, Little 5 points (If you are a stoner hippie ;)), The high museum of art (Never been there, I’m a redneck  :P), Gang violence, and the Lilly Pad Village duh... lol

underground is where you want to go ig you want to get shot.  It's gone down hill and I wouldn't go there after dark.  They need to put a moving sidewalk from there to Grady hospital, just toss the bodies on there...no need for an ambulance.

Atlanta just isn't a tourist city, there are great things to do outside of atlanta, but in the city sucks.

Won't make ATL, going up to Cowtown (Ft.Worth) at the end of September. Anyone going to make it to that one? The annual ISS Awards will be judged there, we have a few modest entries. If you haven't entered you can not win, tomorrow is the deadline, I know some of y'all here have something good to show off. Well?

I will be going to ISS ATL, because it's on our Turf. It's hard for me to pass on seeing a few presses and other industry goodies, when it's here in my area. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys there... I'm also strongly considering SGIA Vegas this year... I'm an industry junkie...  :)

I'll be there, likely Saturday but I'm going to try for Friday and get out of work.  There is about an 80% chance I'll have to go on Saturday.  Which day you gonna be there?

I lived there for about 1.5 years.  I was poor as hell, and I was DUMB enough to look for apartments in ALT area in the day light...lol.  Everything looks safe in the day light.  Night time was a different story.  I think someone was murdered in our laundry room.  Was pretty frequent someone was shot or shot at on our street.  Seen a good bit of gang stuff too.  That was what motivated us to start our business.  We started it out of our apartment, and got the hell out soon as we could.

Franklin road has been pretty quiet lately. The Murder Show has moved on down the road to the City. I think they are averaging about 2 per day over in Northwest Atlanta.. Can't get these Judges in Georgia to hand out any real sentences...

That's the time to go look at things IMHO, if there are a lot of people hanging around in the middle of the day, they aren't working.  Everytime I drive down that road I almost hit 4 or 5 people jaywalking or trying to cross the road with their pants down around their knees.

Franklin road has been better of late, they knocked down a crappy apartment building and that seemed to make the roaches scatter.  There were HUGE plans to redevelop it, but when the collapse came it was abandoned.  They are working on it little by little.  New street lights, sidewalks and paving.  You know it's bad when the QT on that street has a most wanted poster up.

Heck the day we visited it was nice down there in the day, so we signed up and got it leased.   Night time we moved in, got knocked over first night by a guy running from the cops.  Thats a great feeling on night one.  Haha.

Which apartments did they get rid of?  If you turn left on Franklin Rd. I think we were 1st or 2nd set on the right.  I can't remember the name of them.  Brown in color at the time.

the ones across from Gantts Market, it's going commercial, which was the plan with the whole road, go commercial and residential mixed, live and work in the same area type thing.

Peter Chang left Tasty China a few years back. He currently owns/runs an upscale joint on Powers Ferry by the name of Peter Changs Tasty China II. If you like spicy Szechuan cooking, the place is the bomb. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, it actually has a little ambiance & a full bar.

Would Pantherville count as a great thing to do outside of Atlanta? Years ago on our way to our shack in the mountains we stopped one night to go to a Braves game the next afternoon. Stayed in a motel in Pantherville. It was "interesting" . . .

...I took some art workshops, schmoozed with some vendors and had a good time. Took advantage of some show specials and spent about 2k on various stuff. Got alot of info from the embroidey machine suppliers, as well as ASI/PPAI/SAGE, as we are planning to expand into both of these markets in the next year.

...Got to see our friends from SpotColorSupply, and dropped off a load of screens for restretch. They are shipping 'em to me tomorrow (thanks for the fast turnaround Scott!). With no need to ship to them, and free shipping on the return freight, it makes for a pretty good deal!

..The show is shrinking somewhat, I really think we need some of the big boys to start exhibiting there again...M&R, Nazdar, etc. And hey ActionEngineering, where were you guys?   ???

...I highly recommend to anyone that is building a business to take the time and attend one of these events!
