Title: CMYK or Simulated
Post by: Denis Kolar on May 30, 2012, 09:48:15 AM
Can this be done with CMYK or it needs to be printed simulated process?

It will be on black shirts.

simulated would look better.  Maybe more colors, but it would look better.

I told them at least white, yellow, red and maybe two greens with top black (Of course, they want these on black shirts).
That would be minimum and maybe even more colors for simulated.

I could try CMYK, but they need this for Saturday. LOL

Some people are really funny

Simulated would be the way to go. You might not have enough heads though to get it real close but you could get in the ball park. The black shirt part is what is a killer for you.

in general, unless you are Target graphics, CMYK does not work very well on anything but white or very light colored garments.
this is no doubt (in my mind) a sim print.

Depending on the qty, you could skip the black, but it would make things better.

If they are to go with simulated, I would not be printing this. I have a "local guy" that print these regularly :) and he is pretty good too.
Shorter run with CMYK, I could try, but I do not think that this will pan out. Like I sad, they need it for Saturday.

Could this be done in White only, or I would need to have White, Gray and Highlight white?

I ended up printing this just with white on black shirts.
I think it came out pretty good. First time using Newman frames too, and loving it. I do not think that I would be able to do this with regular statics I have.
