Anyone know where I can get vellum paper in rolls? We have pre-cut sheets now but want to buy it in rolls moving forward. We are going to be printing our art and using it to expose screens. Does anyone know what I should be looking for if nobody has a source? I have seen factors such as weight and opacity percentage when looking.

Bueller...

never heard of it, does your printer have a roll feed or a cutter?
-
We were just going to hand cut it instead of paying to have it custom cut.

i see that taking more time than it's worth...i used to cut my inkjet film, it didn't pay for itself

Cost savings will come from getting rid of acetate.
-
you will have to fill me in on this one, what are you using the acetate for?
could you buy vellum in sheets?
-
Haven't heard of it either, but 11x17 vellum sheets are so cheep they might as well be free.

Johnny, Killergraphics used to have something going with vellum. If he doesn't stop by and see this, you may want to track him down. Worst he can say is "No, sorry, man, that was a long time ago!"
Then again, I've been mistaken before and he could say "what the hell was that frog smokin'? I don't know what he's talking about!" ???

I am actually sourcing it for our sister company in El Salvador. They are printing everything on film right now and as you can imagine 300 - 400 film sheets a month costs a bundle. So I am trying to find rolls of it to ship a skid down there. We use 4 different sized cut sheets here and are fine with that. Then I get to fly down there and sort all this crap out again.

so are they using acetate down there? I am still wondering where the acetate is coming into this.

Yes.

Wow I have not used acetate in a very very long time, most likely never will again, have you tried a company called We Sellum Vellum I used them back in my vellum days.
