Title: What kind of grease for the press?
Post by: Gilligan on May 11, 2012, 03:30:14 PM
I have an Antec Legend and could stand to grease her up a bit.

Something that would be "universal" would be ideal but whatever is best for the job is what I'll get.

I have always heard white lithium grease, but anything is better than nothing  ;)

Super Lube is really good stuff--not quite as thick as wheel bearing grease, but very sticky, and doesn't 'glaze'.

They say it's fully compatible with white lithium--they being the manufacturer.

I'm thinking lithium is the way to go... when you are feeling manic you can just lick your press a little. ;)

We use Marine Lithium grease which Anatol told was the best for our machine helps keep rust and water damage out.

Mobil 1 Synthetic, a little overkill but it works. I use Aqualube for where the lift cylinder touches, sticky as hell and wont drip or ware off.
