So I guy tells me his shop bought a hot tronix heat press 3 years ago and the heating element has warped, he asked if I want it. I said sure I just need to go drive an hour to get it. Anyway can you order the heating elements? would it be worth it? Free is free

You can replace the platen. Probably not cheap, but if everything else works, you'd have a nice press and still a bargain.
