I have a client that wants to print on American Apparel Navy 2001 tees. Although the AA tee discharges, it tends to be a little off white, and the client is looking for that super soft feel with REALLY bright white. So i was wondering if it was possible to discharge the tee, then print a white waterbased ink on top of it.
Would that work correctly?

Why not print a white discharge?

Yes Eric it will. The white wb can be white discharge thinned with water or a base with white pigment. Use a base/ white hybrid for the UB

The CCI white discharge is doing well at the shops that I visit. You should look into that.

I agree. Yes. and it doesn't' take much so a 300 mesh would be great.

White discharge doesn't come out truly white on a Navy American Apparel Tee. At least not to the clients liking.

I have samples of it, but honestly the matsui white has been much better to us.

JUST ran a small one color quickie on black G2000 with white Matsui 301 WB, Print Flash Print, as per Tom Pitman's phone suggestion a couple of weeks ago.
Wow! Very Bright indeed.....
Decent hand, no fibrillation after 1 (one) wash on a Burgundy PC 51 which has been a bugger for me. "Hand" is NOT quite as good as a discharge white, but close.... and its as white as plastisol after a wash and dry.
Tom, no man crush here, but you're my hero for a day.
