Anyone here have one yet?  About to pull the trigger on a 16 color...

Whats the difference between Cobra and G4? What make one better than the other?
Curious.

That's tough.  Seem to have the same print specs, membrane control panel, both are fast presses...Screen on G4 will be bigger, total weight is 300lbs more, electrical specs vs air specs between the two don't make much sense to me.  If I had to guess I would say the Cobra is quieter and a bit slower but otherwise the same as the G4.  This overlap in product offering doesn't make sense IMO.

Note: I did 14 color not 16 color.  400lb difference with the 16 colors.  Same diameter...

Flash control from each head. Pallet temp control. Ink dip. Bigger screen. Deeper software.

I've heard the Gaunlet index system (and build in general) is more robust.

Or to put it another way -

Cobra is a "Super Sportsman"

Gauntlet is a "Super Cobra"

Remember the old days when manufacturer reps would pop in and share information?

Here's a real big one for you guys - does the print screen include the counter info? Our operators all hate that you have to reference 2 screens, even on our 18 color Gauntlet III.  The used Challenger III I bought had everything we needed on the one screen and it was 8 years older!

I wonder if there's a software update to fix this...it should just be a checkbox somewhere to show counters!

I remember when you could pop into the M&R forum and get info almost immediately.

Gauntlet 4 is belt driven, cobra is ball and screw!
