Title: 4880 prints, then doesn't.
Post by: Gilligan on October 22, 2018, 11:13:52 PM
So, full story as I think it happened.

Some numbskull decided to plug the vent holes on my carts.

Then "hey, the film printed really lightly."

Hmm, maybe a head cleaning.  Yeah, that did it.

Then, "hey, the film isn't printing right again and it says low ink" (though no carts show it because they are refills)

Hmm... Oh crap, who did this?! (Discovering all the vents plugged up)

Unplug them and run a head cleaning all starts well again.

Now it's Monday and it's doing it again.  Head cleaning didn't fix it this time and it might be the fourth time not the third time.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I print one cart and the others just have ink in them.

Try an ink charge.

Try an ink charge.

Pierre

Will do, wet capped it and turned it off... Will see what happens in the morning when I get there.

Try power cleaning.
Make sure there is enough ink in the cassettes.

Could not get the Adjustment Program to work properly, kept giving an error like it wasn't connected (yep, even ran in compatibility mode)... so I did the Power Clean and all is well so far.

Let's see how it works after getting a few days rest.
