Title: Ink for metal flat stock???
Post by: XG Print on November 10, 2016, 03:40:49 PM
What type of ink would I use to print on some metal sheets.  I have a customer wanting me to do this but I am thinking that I don't want to screw with it.  Trying to figure out what my costs will be before I give a yay or nay.  I think the surface will be clear coated if that matters.
Thanks Guys!

Nazdar has a bunch of different inks for different substrates.

be aware that most (all?) inks to go on metal substrates are 2 part catalyzed inks, and therefore have a pot life, and need to be cleaned up immediately.    You'll have to use a solvent resistant emulsion, work fast, and most of the inks are extremely volatile (read: flammable and smell extremely bad).
