Title: Modified our Kruzer to hold larger frames
Post by: jvanick on August 12, 2016, 06:32:23 PM
we're going to be doing some billboard style printing here soon... needed the kruzer to be able to hold a 23x31 in 'landscape' position, so I got out the welder, a piece of flat metal, 1"x1" tube, welded the metal to the tube... moved the clamps to the new tube, and clamped the tube/flat piece into position.. now we can hold up to a 36" wide frame.  -- please don't make fun of my crappy stick welding job.. it's been a long time.

(I'm sure this is violating the warranty, blah blah blah, but it works, and with aluminum frames, doesn't seem to be putting any undue stress on the head)

I may make another 2 of them so I can run up to 3 colors like this (every other head)

Been wanting to do this for a long while and I love the approach you took.  This I could actually do myself, while the original mod I wanted to make would have required someone else to make parts for me.  Looks like I have a new project for the next free weekend I have (never).
